Whats New! January 22, 2006 There are 197 new sites to surf today. Actually some of them are sites that are familiar but have recently reopened. It was just easier to call them new and go from there. LOL. I corrected alot of URL's so if a favorite was coming up 404, try it again. I apologize to those webmasters who sent me URL changes via my guestbook for the long delay in making the corrections, but for some reason the guestbook is not sending me notifications like it is supposed to. Happy Surfing! ~Ember & Sherri November 12, 2005 A five month hiatus wasn't exactly what I had in mind last June but it seems thats the way it turned out. Like Lemony Snickets Series of Unfortunate Events it turned into one long, cruel summer that morphed into fall. Financial woes forced me to remove all downloads and renegotiate my hosting package at the end of June. Just when I was beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel Hurricane Katrina hit and all my attention and disposable income was then focused on helping family and friends adversely affected by this tragedy. Everyone is fine and are slowly rebuilding their lives. By the time I had the time and energy to even think about the site again I discovered that the html editor I used for the last six years had decided it no longer felt like working. Undaunted, I saved my pennies and bought a new one which inexplicably doesn't want to work either. Foiled again but determined to bring you this update my friend Hairfish from Mermaid Cove lent me hand. Thanks Fish, I owe you one! So without further ado and sniveling here are 569 new sites to surf. I still hope to bring the downloads back as soon as I am able. In the meantime, you may ask for anything that was hosted on the site at the Yahoo Group and I will upload it for you. Thank you to all of you who wrote to me over the the past few months inquiring about the site, your concern was appreciated more than you know. I apologize for not responding to all of you, but it just wasn't possible. A special thank you to those of you who donated to the site, without you and your support the site wouldn't be here at all. ~Ember June 12, 2005 90 New Sites to Surf and 30 New Reviews That brings us to 5000 sites and it will be several weeks before we add any new sites to the list as we do a full sweep of the links checking for closures and new URLS. In the meantime you may submit your site for consideration by leaving your URL in our Guestbook. Happy Surfing! We now have 4913 links and once we hit 5000 an established listed site must close before we will add any further sites. At the current rate of new site openings we estimate that we will hit 5000 in less than a week. To submit your site for consideration please visit and sign our Guestbook. If you are planning to open a site in the next month let us know and we will hold a spot for you. There are only 87 spots left and they will go fast. Sites are selected on the basis of content. The better your content the more likely we are to list your site. Sites that contain spyware, warez, cracks, trojans, or unauthorized downloads that do not belong to the website owner will NOT be listed. Once we hit 5000 we will not be updating the links for several weeks while we do a full sweep of the links and migrate the links to an improved database. If all goes as planned this migration will result in faster load times for you and easier update capablities for us.
